Sansui RG-7 Graphic Equalizer & Reverb (100V Japan)

The Sansui RG-7 pairs a graphic equalizer with a reverb processor and an eye-catching illuminated display, and this one is in excellent cosmetic condition. Two things to know up front: it’s a Japanese-market 100V unit, so in the US you’ll need a 120V-to-100V step-down transformer, which isn’t included. And on this version the display responds to the reverb controls but not to the EQ sliders. That’s how it works, not a fault.

Functionality & Features

  • Graphic equalizer operation

  • Adjustable frequency controls

  • Reverberation processing

  • Illuminated front-panel display

  • Excellent overall cosmetic condition

  • Japanese-market 100V model

  • Excellent companion to a vintage Sansui component system

Important Display Operation Note

Please note: This particular version of the Sansui RG-7 does not provide an active stereophonic display response when the equalizer settings are adjusted.

The display does respond/update when the reverberation controls are adjusted.

This behavior is specific to this version/configuration of the RG-7 and is being disclosed to prevent buyers from interpreting the lack of stereophonic display movement during equalizer adjustment as a malfunction.

The equalizer and reverb functions should be evaluated independently from this display behavior.

Cosmetic Condition

Excellent overall cosmetic condition. The faceplate, controls, display area and cabinet present extremely well for vintage equipment, with only minor signs of age or previous use.

Please review all listing photographs closely for the exact cosmetic condition.

100V Japanese-Market Model

IMPORTANT: This is a Japanese-market 100V AC component.

For use in the United States or another location with approximately 120V mains power, a suitable 120V-to-100V step-down transformer is required.

A step-down transformer is not included unless specifically shown and stated in the listing.

For proper operation and long-term reliability, we recommend operating this unit at its specified 100V input rather than connecting it directly to 120V AC.

Vintage Equipment Notice

This is vintage audio equipment. Please review the description, photographs and any demonstration video carefully before purchasing. The display behavior described above is specifically disclosed as part of the operating characteristics of this particular version.
